Resort and Hotel Guest Fitness

A guest in one of Arizona’s fine hotels or resorts is a person expecting excellence and maybe a touch of pampering. Imagine if that person was able to experience Arizona’s great outdoors in an informative, safe, and healthy way while they were here. Imagine if they could continue their fitness and post-rehabilitative efforts that they had at home, right here. Imagine if they were given the opportunity to bond with others from around the country and maybe the world, in a fit way. What a wonderful experience that would be.

Sommet Fitness can help facilitate that experience. Our trainers will come to the resort or hotel and work with a guest or a group of guests. A fitness center doesn’t even need to be present, as our trainers can train effectively in a small or large room or outside on campus, a nearby park, or in the mountains. We remain on-call and ready to serve with professionalism, knowledge, and enthusiasm.

Fitness Hiking and Mountain Climbing
Arizona’s desert mountain preserves offer a variety of opportunities for fitness and for connecting with nature. Each preserve is unique, with varying fitness levels:

Easy
Relatively flat and scenic hikes or runs.

Moderate
Hikes or runs that gently incline and decline, gradually winding up and around a mountain.

Tougher
Hikes that require a quicker ascent up a mountain. Great for strong legs and lungs and a spirit for adventure.

The adventure trainer will be an experienced area hiker and will prepare, monitor and advise while offering interesting details about desert life, making your hike an extraordinary desert fitness experience.

Strength and Flexibility Training
A strong, balanced body helps keep the mind robust, the spirit young. Getting or staying strong while away from home is just smart.

    Train in:
  • An equipment room on the premises with bands, bodyweight and medicine balls.
  • In a hotel room.
  • Outside on the premises or in a park.
  • At Sommet’s serene fitness studio, on the edge of the McDowell Mountains, Highway 101 and Bell Road.

Sommet's strength trainers are creative with client desires and can work with a variety of special conditions.

Yoga
The very essence of yoga lies in mental peace, improved concentration powers, a relaxed state of living, and harmony in relationships. By keeping the body flexible, it can become internally and externally strong. Sommet's trainers guide through the appropriate poses, while creating a zen-like experience through atmosphere, meditation, and introspection.

Pilates
There are six Pilates principles: Centering, Precision, Control, Concentration, Flowing Movement, and Breathing. Pilates uses mind over matter as its central element. This allows the body to work at its greatest advantage, giving it more strength and energy throughout the day.

Post-rehabilitation
Specifically certified to train post-rehabilitation conditions, Sommet's trainers can continue post-rehab efforts that may have been started at home, and perhaps even add a few more creative ideas! Gentle and effective.
